Carol joined Elwood & Goetz in 2017 in client development after a 25+ career in the financial markets. A BBA graduate from UGA, she started her career with the SunTrust bank in Atlanta, ultimately moving to the capital markets side of the business with the New York training program of Salomon Brothers.
After working with Jefferies Financial group in Atlanta and New York, she moved to London to pursue an opportunity with Jefferies to help build the convertible bond business. Subsequently, she was responsible for building the London convertible bond desk for the French derivatives research firm, Exane/BNP.
Despite enjoying work in the markets, the time was right to start her own business partnering in a startup headhunting and consulting business for 7 years. After 18 years in London, Carol made the easy decision to relocate back to the U.S. to Athens, Georgia, with her husband and two children.
Carol grew up all over the United States in a career military family and currently serves on the board as Finance Chair of The Ark United Ministry Outreach and Treasurer for the Facility Corporation Board of Kappa Alpha Theta. She has volunteered with many interests including the mentor program for the UGA business school and Red Tee golf at UGA. She enjoys time with family, golf, and volunteer work.
