Melanie Robertson joined the Elwood & Goetz team as an intern at the beginning of 2020. She is currently enrolled as a full-time student at the University of Georgia and is an alumna of the 2018 graduating class at Columbus High School. She is planning to graduate in May 2021 with both a bachelor’s degree in Financial Planning and a bachelor’s degree in Consumer Economics.
Melanie is passionate and eager to learn in this profession, saying she is proud to study and pursue financial planning because of the opportunity it provides to have such a profound, positive impact on others’ lives. She is committed to empowering others through what she believes is paramount to securing a financially stable future. She chose to work with E&G to be able to serve others in a way that is truthful, prosocial, and client centric.
During her time at UGA, Melanie has become an active member in the Student Financial Planning Association and was inducted into the UGA Chapter of Phi Upsilon Omicron, a national honor society that recognizes students with high academic achievement in the field of family and consumer sciences. She hopes to use her education to inspire and enable others to pursue their own passions.
In her free time, Melanie enjoys painting with watercolor and acrylic paints, cooking from her favorite cookbooks, and playing intramural sports. Every Saturday in the fall, you will find her watching and cheering on her favorite college football team… Go Dawgs!
