Tammy Williams, Ph.D., MBA, CFP®, AFC®

Prior to joining Elwood & Goetz in 2021, Dr. Tammy Williams spent nearly 20 years working in corporate America in various leadership positions. At E&G, Tammy serves as a senior financial planner and as a member of our 401(k) team. In her role, she helps develop and manage financial plans and optimizations for her clients, as well as building and implementing employer-sponsored 401(k) plans for businesses.

For her outstanding service and contributions to the financial planning profession, Tammy has been named a national Rising Star by Financial Planning Magazine and was honored as one of the Association of African American Financial Advisors Fifty Under 50 in 2021.

Tammy received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Carolina, and her Master of Business Administration degree from Mercer University. She went on to complete further graduate studies at the University of Georgia, where she completed a Doctorate in Financial Planning.

In the community, Tammy serves as a board member of FFERO.org, a nonprofit organization aimed at improving financial literacy in underserved communities. Additionally, she’s taught courses in wealth management as well as financial literacy. In her spare time, Tammy enjoys traveling to the Caribbean with her husband and son.  She also enjoys singing on community choirs and binge-watching her favorite TV shows.
