Garrett Herold

Garrett joined Elwood & Goetz as an Associate Financial Planner at the start of 2022. In this role, he supports a team of advisors in developing and implementing comprehensive financial plans for individuals and families. Garrett was drawn to E&G because of the firm’s fee-only structure, its commitment to client service, and his personal passion for financial planning.

Garrett is an honor graduate (summa cum laude) of the University of Georgia with bachelor’s degrees in financial planning and consumer economics.

While attending UGA, Garrett represented the University in both the Financial Planning Association (FPA) Challenge and the Association for Financial Counseling & Planning Education® (AFCPE) Knowledge Bowl.

He also served as a volunteer tax preparer for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. This program offers tax filing services to members of the community at no cost. Additionally, Garrett was a support staff member for the Georgia Bulldogs 2021 National Championship team.

In his free time, Garrett enjoys spending time with his family and friends. You'll often find him trying out new recipes and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs. On the occasional weekend, he enjoys traveling to his hometown in the North Georgia mountains to hike and soak in the beautiful scenery.
