Description & Responsibilities

At Elwood & Goetz, we work together in teams to serve our clients. Our planning teams typically consist of a managing director, senior financial planner, and associate financial planner. Teams work directly with households to design, deliver, and implement comprehensive financial plans.

As a financial planning intern, you will assist planning and operations teams with various tasks as assigned. From office operations to paperwork preparation, you will receive hands-on training and insights into day-to-day practice management, client service, and team collaboration.

Specifically, this position will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with the preparation of account paperwork.
  • Greeting and accommodating guests (in-person, over the phone, or via email).
  • Assisting the Office Manager with day-to-day tasks and office operations, such as conference room setup and breakdown for client meetings, tidying up common areas, scanning and filing documents, data entry and note-taking, and other tasks as assigned.

The work schedule for this internship is flexible to accommodate for classes. A minimum weekly commitment of 15 hours is required.

This is an on-site internship opportunity and will require commuting to our Athens office. Our office is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday.

The Elwood & Goetz financial planning internship is a paid internship opportunity.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program and actively pursuing a degree in financial planning
