Jake Abrahamse

Jake joined Elwood & Goetz as a financial planning assistant in May 2021. After graduating from the University of Georgia in December 2021, he was named as an associate financial planner at the firm. In his current role, Jake assists with client services and supports his team in our comprehensive financial planning process.

Rooted in his desire and passion for helping others, Jake deeply values E&G's client-first approach, comprehensive financial planning philosophy, and high-touch, responsive client service.

Jake is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where he earned his bachelor's degree in financial planning with a minor in consumer economics.

During his time at UGA, Jake was an active member of the Student Financial Planning Association. He served as a volunteer tax preparer with the Volunteer Income Tax Association (VITA) program, a no-cost tax preparation and filing service, and also volunteered through the UGA ASPIRE Clinic, a free-of-charge financial counseling program serving UGA employees and Athens residents.

Jake was born in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, and lived in Malaysia before moving to the United States. In his free time, Jake enjoys swimming, biking, and spending time with his family and friends. Every weekend, you'll find him watching Formula 1 or college football (Go Dawgs!).
