Swarn holds a Certificate in Nonprofit Financial Management from Harvard University, an MBA in finance, and Ph.D. with a specialization in Personal Financial Planning from Texas Tech University. Swarn received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering from India.
Swarn’s passions revolve around investment planning and developing investment strategies for individuals/families and nonprofit corporations to maximize the probability of reaching their goals. As a professor of financial planning, Swarn also teaches the investment planning and portfolio management courses at The University of Georgia. He also has extensive corporate sector experience having previously worked at Coca-Cola and Olympus Corporation.
Swarn’s publication record includes over 50 articles in top scholarly journals in the financial planning field, such as Financial Services Review, Journal of Financial Counseling and Planning, Journal of Real Estate Research, Journal of Financial Service Professionals, Journal of Economics and Finance, and Journal of Personal Finance.
He has also presented his research at several prominent international and national conferences sponsored by the Academy of Financial Services, American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association, and Financial Management Association.
